Holy Week
Holy Week
Holy Thursday • Apr. 2
Holy Thursday commemorates the Last Supper and Jesus establishing Holy Communion and the priesthood. Please join us for Mass at 7 p.m. Following Mass, you are invited to pray the Liturgy of the Hours. This beautiful prayer will be held in the adoration chapel at 9 p.m. Take time to sit with Jesus in the Eucharist and stay for the exquisite Night Prayer for Holy Thursday. Adoration will be offered until 10 p.m.
Good Friday • Apr. 3
On this day, we solemnly remember Jesus’ death on the cross. Those aged 18–59 should fast (one full meal and two snacks that don’t equal a meal are allowed). Those 14 and older should abstain from eating meat. Fr. Tom will hear confessions from 1–2:45 p.m. The service will follow at 3 p.m. (Note: We changed the service time this year because the Roman Missal recognizes 3 p.m. as Jesus’ official time of death). Stations will be held at 7 p.m.
Holy Saturday • Apr. 4
Our vigil will begin at 8 p.m. Please note that the liturgy will begin in darkness so it’s best to arrive early to find a pew. This year, we have three children getting baptized, another five receiving Sacraments of Initiation, and two adults fully entering the Church.
Easter Sunday • Apr. 5
We celebrate Jesus rising from the dead on Easter. Mass will be celebrated at our regular times: 8:30 and 10:30 a.m.
