Investing in Our Children

Dear Parents, Parishioners, and Friends of Holy Spirit Catholic School,

As we look forward to our Catholic Schools Week celebration (Jan. 26–31), we are deeply grateful to you for supporting the advancement of Catholic education at Holy Spirit. I am writing to share an exciting opportunity that will have a transformational impact on Holy Spirit Catholic School. Through “Invest In Our Children,” we are inviting you to support students who may otherwise not be able to afford a Catholic education.

When Holy Spirit Catholic School was established in 1936, it was staffed solely by the Sisters of St. Joseph of Carondelet and tuition was $1 a month for those who could afford it. Today, tuition supports an amazing lay teaching and administrative staff, their salaries and benefits, materials and supplies, and contributes to the overall operating budget of the school.

The Keefe Endowment Fund was created as a foundation for our tuition assistance. We use interest earned to support families, who have been identified through an outside agency as needing financial assistance, to make Catholic education a reality for their children. Our annual fundraiser, Night of Spirit, is also an important contributor in its support of financial assistance to families. Along with other grants, we are able to provide nearly $175,000 in financial support to Holy Spirit students during the 2019-2020 school year.

We believe that part of our mission is to support ALL students who wish a Catholic education. That is a worthy but very challenging mission. The need is always growing. Whether you can donate $5 or $5000, every donation is an investment in the lives of our children. YOU CAN HELP!  By investing In our children, you can make a difference.

Please prayerfully consider participating by investing in our children.
