Holy Spirit Feeds the Hungry
Holy Spirit parishioners and friends gathered to make sandwiches and protein packs as a Lenten service project. Over one hundred people gathered to make one thousand sandwiches and one thousand protein packs for the hungry in the Twin Cities. Alan Law, the head of Minneapolis Recreational Development, to whom the food was being donated, was on site to visit and get to know the volunteer packers. Much of the food was obtained with the generous donations from parishioners and local businesses. Volunteers finished all two thousand units in one hour. This was a great opportunity for people of all ages to practice feeding the hungry and reach out as a Christian community.
