Feed the Hungry

The Church of the Holy Spirit has once again been awarded a CRS Rice Bowl Local Grant to address hunger and poverty through the 363 Days Food Program. We have received $800 to buy food and supplies for our upcoming parish-wide Lenten Service Project on Sunday, Mar. 31, from 2-3 p.m. in Howley Hall. We will pack sandwiches and protein packs for 1,000 homeless people in the Twin Cities area. We also want to thank the Burt family for their generous donation of items for the protein packs. Register online to join us as we help those facing hunger on a daily basis.

As part of your almsgiving this Lent, participate in the CRS Rice Bowl collection. Cardboard rice bowls are available in the church or parish office and comes with a calendar for Lent that helps us become aware of those in need of food around the world. On the first and third Sundays, our Second Collection will be dedicated to the CRS Rice Bowl. Even though Lent has begun – it’s not too late to join in solidarity with your fellow parishioners in supporting this worthy cause.
